Nestled in the charming Spring Hill area of Mobile, Alabama, POST on the Hill stands out as one of the most lively and unique spots in this peaceful neighborhood. While Spring Hill is known for its tranquility, POST on the Hill is a delightful exception, offering a vibrant atmosphere perfect for enjoying craft cocktails and great company.

A House-Turned-Bar with a Cozy Yet Lively Vibe

POST on the Hill is housed in a converted home, making it feel both intimate and spacious. The venue features multiple rooms with cozy tables and a sprawling outdoor area, ideal for enjoying the warm Alabama weather. The crowd is predominantly young, friendly, and enjoys sipping on coffee martinis and other creative drinks. During our visit, we tried gin martinis garnished with massive olives, and I had the opportunity to experience my first-ever Negroni.

What is a Negroni?

A Negroni is a classic Italian cocktail made with gin, semi-sweet vermouth, and Campari, garnished with a twist of orange peel. The Campari adds a distinctive reddish color to the drink and introduces a bitter-sweet flavor that makes the Negroni both refreshing and complex. If you’re a fan of martinis or enjoy trying new cocktails, this is definitely a must-try. And if you’re looking to make your own Negronis at home, consider grabbing the perfect glasses for them!

Beyond cocktails, POST on the Hill offers an extensive menu of beer, wine, and shareable snacks. Whether you’re in the mood for a light bite or something more filling, there’s a perfect option to pair with your drink.

Where to Find POST on the Hill

POST on the Hill is located at 4513 Old Shell Rd, Mobile, AL 36608. Don’t confuse it with the original POST on Dauphin Street, which I’ll definitely be visiting soon for a comparison!
