I just watched Another End, and I’ve been turning it over in my mind ever since. It’s not just a movie… it’s a question.
What if, upon losing a loved one, there was a way to sort of turn back time so you could better prepare and say goodbye? In a world where we can borrow someone else’s womb, sperm, or freeze our eggs to use later, is it really impossible to imagine a future where we could delay saying goodbye?
This is what Another End makes you consider.

Director Piero Messina (The Wait) takes us into a world that feels both futuristic and deeply familiar. Gael García Bernal leads an extraordinary cast including Renate Reinsve, Bérénice Bejo, and Olivia Williams. Together, they pull us into a story that blends science fiction with raw human emotion – love, grief, memory, and the desperate wish for one more moment.
The visuals are dreamlike, almost meditative, and the questions the film asks stay with you. If you could bring someone back, would you? If you did, would it change anything, everything, or nothing at all?
Another End is available on VOD starting Friday, September 19, 2025. Click here to purchase. I highly recommend watching it with someone you can have a deep conversation with afterward — you’ll need it.
